Unprecedented possibilities from the soil of warm data
9 EPISODES | LANGUAGE: ENGLISH
Series Overview
This is the time to explore beyond what is known.
Let's do it together, through a random series of conversations about and within the concept, the experience and everything that happens within warm data.
What does that mean? How does it happen? Why do we need it? What is the theory behind it? What is the process? What does it do? How does it come alive?
In each episode we will be diving into the complexity of multiple descriptions of warm data, with Nora and different people from around the globe that are inviting more warm data into their communities, their lives, their work.
It will be a different kind of podcast and you will be able to listen to the conversation only LIVE as it will be happening.
There are no recordings available, because... well... the data is not alive anymore.
At the same time, following many requests for additional viewing options we have added some pop-up episodes (4 to 10) where we will be screening of all the podcasts we have held until now. Also in this case, we will keep the screenings warm, hold conversations, keep them alive.
Check this page regularly as more episodes will come in the following weeks, as new themes emerge from the conversations!

EPISODE 1
Double Binds
In this episode we will dive into the theme of double binds as one of the core theoretical pieces within understanding warm data, its meaning and need.
We have a lot of them them right now within all our institutions, all around us. Are we noticing them? Are we able to respond differently? What are the patterns that are freezing us to move differently, to ask different questions, to go beyond the known edges?

EPISODE 2
Finding a way
“The overlapping crises of inequality, health, justice, technology, ecology and culture are producing emergencies that the institutions of the last centuries cannot contend with. How will the next decades play out amidst these crises? What is possible for societies around the world to learn in the process? Will Peoples’ responses to the emergencies of the coming decades be warm? Or cold?”
In this episode Nora Bateson and co-host Mamphela Ramphele – Co-President of the Club of Rome, active citizen and trustee of the Nelson Mandela Foundation – will explore together these questions, with the intent of opening a conversation about a different way of responding to the challenges we are facing. A warmer way.
